Аннотация:the article analyzes the main professional functions, which require the presence of professionally important qualities, of the penitentiary workers in the state criminal-executive service of Ukraine as well as military officers. On the basis of scientific and pedagogical research, a set of professionally important qualities of future law enforcement specialists of the penitentiary system and military officers is determined and substantiated, namely, leadership qualities, responsibility, critical thinking, stress resistance, willpower, professional self-development and adequate self-esteem.
