Аннотация:The article is devoted to the teaching of biology in high school under conditions of confrontation between materialism and creationism on the problem of life origin on Earth. Possibilities for solving this problem are considered that do not contradict either the Orthodox doctrine or the established standards of normative and variable content of biological education. The difficulties that an Orthodox teacher will encounter in the process of teaching the basics of creationism in a general education institution are analyzed. Original data on the design of alternative approaches to introducing students to the basics of creationism are provided.
