Аннотация:Voluntary engagement characterises the free civil societies of Poland and Germany. Not only forms of engagement are changing, but also church, pastoral and charitable engagement is subject to constant change. The article compares the forms of commitment in both countries and addresses which pastoral-theological observations accompany this change in charitable volunteering.
