As we described in our commentary, we agree that the model of a digital diagnostics and therapeutics committee would need to consider all of the factors that Dr. Barr recapitulates, including data security, clinical usefulness, and the effect on frontline caregivers. We also agree that other technologies surrounding EHRs—such as software applications that support telemedicine, population health and remote monitoring, and consumer-focused applications that are prescribed and managed by a clinician—would probably fall under such a model if ...References1.
