Аннотация:In order to study on the atmospheric pollution due to deposited dust and smoke in Keihin Industrial Area, deposit ed dust and smoke at eight places in Yokohama and Kawasaki cities, have been analyzed for determinations of ignition loss, Si02, Fe208., A1203, CaO, MgO, MnO, and water-soluble S04 and Cl, monthly for a period from May, 1959 to April, 1960.Main components of the deposited dust and smoke were found to be ignition loss and Si02 in a non-industrial area, while in the industrial area, they were Si02, Fe20s, CaO, and water-soluble SO4.It became clear that the main sources of the deposited dust and smoke were many factories in this area, and also domestic heatings in the main part of Yokohama city gave very great effect on atmospheric pollution of this area in winter.
