Аннотация:This article attempts to investigate details regarding the life of Archpriest Nikolai Alekseevich Konoplev (early 1865 – 1937), a Vologda ethnographer, historian, hagiographer. His writings about the saints of the Vologda region contain unique historical information and still possess significant scholarly value. This study is based on historical data found in pre-revolutionary periodicals, archival documents and recently published articles. It corrects some inaccurate statements about the final years of Archpriest Nikolai’s life found in scholarly literature.
