Аннотация:Professionals from various fields of knowledge have shown increasing interest in the topic of disasters, leading to an increase in actors at this field, whether linked to public or private institutions, NGOs or volunteering. This article aims to accomplish a critical reflection on three disasters that occurred in Brazil – Vale do Cuiabá (2011), Samarco (2015) and Vale (2019) as well as the possible contributions to professional performance in the area. For this, a bibliographic research on the disasters was done. The results show connections between the three disasters and highlights primary health care as a territory and resource in disasters. The work intends to contribute so that the actions of professionals and researchers can start from a demand focused on the affected people and communities, with necessary recommendations for action.
