Аннотация:In the Kabardino-Balkar Republic the human helminth fauna of the class Cestoda includes 5 species ( Echinococcus granulosus Batsch, 1786; Taeniarhynchus saginatus Goeze, 1782; Taenia solium L., 1758; Dipylidium caninum L., 1758; Hymenolepis nana Siebold, 1852). In the plains and foothill areas of the region in humans all five species of cestodes, in the mountainous area - 2 species ( Echinococcus granulosus, Taeniarhynchus saginatus) have been identified. During 7 years in total 641 children and 1696 adults ( 2337 cases) were infested with echinococcos, taeniarhynchosis, taeniasis, dipylidiosis, hymenolepiasis. Total incidence of cestodiasis per 100,000 population is 0.00075% in children, 0.00200% - in adults (in total - 0.00275%)
