Аннотация:The article analyses newspaper headlines, which include both conventional and transformed phraseological units. Based on the study, it was concluded that the structural and semantic features change as an impact of different linguistic antinomies: the transformation of meaning leads to the activation of the antinomy of the code and text, and the transformation of the structure demonstrates the action of the antinomy of the information and expressive functions of the language.
