Аннотация:the other one, a descendant of a Japanese immigrant family, both self-defining as homossexuals, suassu or okama -, and based on the studies on sexual and gender diversity and on ethnicity, we will consider the intersections of the systems of dispositions that shape the practices and representations about sexuality within the Amazon Basin and the particular ways in wich sexuality and ethnicity (and a little bit less, class), as social markers of difference, relate to the basis of these systems.Thus, we will try to bring about a better understanding of the experiences of gender and sexual diversity in contexts that have not been enough studied until now.
