Аннотация:The article analyzes the role of Ukrainians in the system of staffing of the Army of the Russian Empire. We have shown the particuliarities of officers training in the guiding special military educational institutions of the Empire (by the main armed services). We have considered their professional skills and talent, organizational skills to military constructionwhich were subsequently implemented during the First World War and in the process of Ukrainian national military movement.
