Proceedings of the 2022 IEEE International Symposium on Hardware Oriented Security and Trust (HOST)статья
Аннотация: On behalf of the organizing and steering committees, it is our tremendous pleasure to welcome you to the 2022 IEEE International Symposium on Hardware-Oriented Security and Trust (HOST) Summit. Our location is the Hilton Tysons Corner in McLean, Virginia, USA, which is the same location as the last HOST held in person which occurred in 2019.HOST has emerged as a premier event in hardware security encompassing all aspects of research and development in this area of growing significance. This year we have expanded the venues of the participation by introducing work-in-progress papers, PhD thesis competition and microelectronics competitions along with the existing hands-on hardware demo sessions to increase the student participation and interaction. The mission of HOST can be summarized as follows:1. To be a leading and globally recognized forum that unites researchers, practitioners and users from the computer security, microelectronics and EDA communities.2. To disseminate cutting-edge ideas, technologies and results in areas of overlap between hardware and security from device, architecture, chip and systems levels.3. To provide a platform for leaders in industry, government and academia to share their unique perspectives and to help shape the directions and priorities of the community.4. To address shortages in the security workforce by recruiting and training students from a diverse group for productive careers with prospective employers.HOST 2022 is a four day in-person event. There are 5 tutorials on Monday June 27th delivered by the leading experts from academia and industry on diverse topics such as Designing and Building More Secure Hardware with CWE, Hardware Trust Validation Using Machine Learning and Formal Methods, and Physical Inspection using Hardware Assurance. The main technical event occurs on June 28 -June 30 and includes 4 keynotes, 3 visionary talks, 1 panel, 28 technical paper presentations, a record high 32 hardware demos, first time 49 work-in progress (WiP) papers and the first ever in person industrial exhibition. The exhibition includes 9 booths and several 5-minute elevator pitches in the designated session. The featured speakers for HOST 2022 showcase some of the most innovative and diverse researchers in academia, government and industry in the area of hardware security. Our keynote speakers include Dev Shenoy (OSD), Pim Tuyls (Intrinsic ID), Jay Lewis (Microsoft), Mukesh V.
