Аннотация:The paper presents the results of research in developing ways of burning gas-generating compositions (GGC) in combustion products forced convection conditions (CPFCC) and the factors that influence the design of a chemical gas source (CGS). The influence of the oxidant amount on the conditions and rate of fuel combustion in CPFCC is analyzed. The relative area of the channels is shown to affect the character of porous charge combustion. If the number of channels and their area increase up to 5%, the rate of combustion and the gas flow rate increase, while if the former increase from 5% to 25% the latter decrease. It was also found that multichannel units with fixed porosity ensure constant consumption and time characteristics, make it possible to get 10-15 fold pressure reduction in the chamber and increase the length of the charge up to ten diameters.
