Аннотация:The present article treats of the geo- environment diagnosis of Acaraú river basin semi-arid that embraces part of the center-north portion of the State of Ceará. Therefore, the objective of the work is to show the compartimentação geo- environment of this basin, detaching an environmental analysis on the natural resources. Enroll although the basin in focus shelters a diversified mosaic of environmental systems that suffered expressive transformations motivated by the historical process of use and occupation of the earth. Due to a conflicting relationship among society and nature in the interiors of semi-arid climate, it stands out in the basin the desertification as a consequence of the environmental degradation.
