Аннотация:Abstract Undergraduates have difficulty understanding the normal sensory losses and changes in functional status experienced by virtually all older adults. To overcome this experiential problem, a classroom assignment, the aging simulation exercise, was developed to engage students as active participants in their learning of what it genuinely means to "become older." Students are obliged to "experience" first-hand some of the many aches and pains as well as sensory losses commonly associated with the aging process.
