Аннотация:Short presentation of life cycle of earth constructionIt is hard to determine in numbers the energy requirement of clay masonry during its life cycles, although it is very clear that every life cycle requires hardly any or no energy at all, therefore has less impact on the environment.Whereas the majority of more energy consuming procedures can be replaced by human work thus creating more jobs.On areas where there is no inland water or danger of flood adobe architecture has a reason for existence.Due to the economic crisis, there are less and less houses built in Hungary today.There are many families though, who may even have land to built on, would be glad to have their houses built by using locally available, no expensive building materials with perhaps the supervision of a skilled builder.In such cases adobe and demolished materials could evidently be applied.In case of building family houses, clay masonry attracts the use of other natural materials.For example timber roof instead of reinforced concrete slab or wooden openings instead of plastic ones, etc… match better to clay masonry.There is no need to put aside adobe neither in case of storey houses, where adobe can be used as partition walls in flats and offices and in communal areas creating artistically designed resting places of a pleasant inner climate.
