Аннотация:This short article will examine a programme produced by the BFI in an attempt to reproduce a film show of 1914 as part of its commemoration of the centenary of World War One. Aside from looking at the content and milieu of cinema in Britain in 1914, it details some of the challenges in researching the era, dealing with surviving film materials and presentational issues in the contemporary exhibition environment.
