Аннотация:Solid SeF 4 is monomeric , and not—like solid TeF 4 —polymeric. The differences in the bonding can be ascribed to the respective degrees of hybridization of the chalcogens and can be described in terms of sp 3 d (SeF 4 , pseudo trigonal bipyramidal) and sp 3 d 2 states (TeF 4 , pseudo‐octahedral).
