Аннотация:Nanostructured systems and functionalized supramolecular aggregates are accessible by DNA hybridization. The nanocrystalline molecule (see schematic representation below) is constructed from gold clusters (shaded spheres) and oligonucleotides (ladderlike framework) by self-assembly. Complex DNA networks could serve as high-resolution matrices for the production of microchips. DNA technology is thus in the process of expanding to include applications in microelectronics.
