Аннотация:According to recent work by Kondo, the scattering cross section of an electron in exchange interaction with a paramagnetic impurity immersed in a Fermi sea of electrons has a logarithmic infinity as the electron energy approaches the Fermi energy. We examine this problem by means of the Chew-Low method first devised for meson-nucleon scattering. It is found that the singularity is replaced by a resonant scattering close to the Fermi level.
