Аннотация:An important, though much neglected aspect of quality management is improving the quality of the managers themselves. However, recent studies has shown there to be a dearth of management training in British industry. This paper summarizes managerial attitudes to training by depriving principal components of attitudinal statements. Human capital theory shows the marginal productivity of management training to be an important element in the decision to train. The paper attempts to estimate this and discuss problems associated with deriving such estimates.
