Results and conclusions. The analytical study carried out contributed to the development and design of the organisational and pedagogical conditions of an integrated approach within the current programme of the physical education of students at the university, which on the whole makes it possible to form the readiness of student youth for safe living in the university environment. The sections of the educational and practical programme are oriented towards the comprehensive formation in students of applied theoretical knowledge and practical skills of safe living: «Skiing» - readiness to move safely in a snowy environment; «Swimming» - readiness for safe living in an aquatic environment; «Tourism» - readiness for safe living in various conditions of the natural environment; «Athletics» - readiness to move across broken terrain in various landscape conditions, to overcome obstacles and so on; «Sports games» - readiness of students for team interaction and mutual assistance, and the ability to assess non-standard game situations correctly and to respond promptly with an adequate and appropriate motor action; «Combat sports» - readiness of students to defend themselves and those close to them against various types and forms of aggression and attack; «All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex GTO» - readiness of students to meet the GTO standards, which contributes to the formation of applied and general physical fitness; «Provision of first aid» - readiness of students to provide timely and necessary first aid in any adverse life situation.
