Аннотация: The analysis of the data obtained both according to the official, approved by the regulatory documents of the current legislation of the Russian Federation, methods of fuel separation in the combined generation of electric and thermal energy at CHPP and known alternative methods is carried out. It is shown that all methods have significant disadvantages in their application and need to be replaced by the only one method that will be a compromise for the entire professional community. The target area of the distribution of specific indicators for the desired only one method is identified and justified.
