Аннотация:Small hydropower occupies a fairly significant place in the world. The management and operation system of small hydroelectric power plants should be simple, reliable, cheap and with minimal intervention of operational personnel. The control system should be such that remote control can be easily carried out. The main functions of the controller for automation are the execution of start-up and shutdown sequences in normal and emergency conditions. In addition to these operating sequences, certain control actions, such as speed control for synchronization and speed control when the machine is connected to the network, must also be performed for frequency control and load balancing.?Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) can be used to control and automate small hydroelectric power plants. The main reason for this is economic efficiency. With the help of PLC programming, various functions and controls can be implemented. They can be used for full automation of the station, including automatic operation control. Functions other than management, such as continuous monitoring, data logging, protection can also be performed?
