Аннотация: The article deals with the problems of the Russian engineering school. The needs of employers in terms of the formation of the necessary competencies have been investigated. The relevance of business communications in engineering education has been revealed. The main instruments of scientific and technological development and support of cooperation of enterprises, scientific and educational organizations and business are presented. Practice-oriented approach, project activities have been considered. An overview of new master's programs "Software Engineering and Cybernetics" and "Applied Systems Analysis" is presented.
