Аннотация:This article deals considered the main approaches to the organization of maintenance and repair of equipment, their features, advantages and disadvantages, trends of evolution from the first half of the twentieth century to the present day. The prospects of transition to maintenance of equipment depending on its technical (actual) condition are shown. The method (online-calculation) and the indicator (technical condition index) by means of which this transition can be realized are offered. Also concrete, real examples of attempts of implementation of transition to strategy of repair by technical condition at the enterprises of the Russian Federation are given
