Аннотация:PROBLEM OF EFFECTIVENESS OF SHOOTING OF BIATHLETES A.V. Sorokina, postgraduate, worldclass athlete I.V. Manzheley, professor, Dr.Hab. Tyumen state university, Tyumen Key words: training biathletes, athletes' individual features, school traditions, ways of increase of shooting effectiveness. The purpose of the present research was to study individual features of elite biathletes and compare it with results of performance of shooting exercises to search for the ways of increase of their shooting effectiveness. In the work there were used such methods as - diagnostics of character accentuations by Lichko, - study of self-appraisal by Budasi, - study of motivation to success and avoiding failures by Elers; - diagnostics of risk preparedness by Schubert and mental reliability by Milman. Moreover, using the worked questionnaire there were studied typical mistakes at shooting in biathletes, analyzed proceedings of results of performance of shooting exercises in trainings and competitions. The study was carried out in 2006-2008 with elite athletes, members of the national biathlon team of Russia and the Tyumen region. 29 persons (18 women and 11 men) took part in the present research. Among them 5 athletes - honored masters of sport, 9 - world-class athletes, 10 - masters of sport and 5 candidate masters of sport of Russia. In order to increase effectiveness of shooting, basing on the studies of G.D. Gorbunov, M.A. Itkis and A.V. Rodionov, the researchers developed a technique of psychological- pedagogical maintenance of shooting training of biathletes. The researchers allocated four stages in the structure of the technique: educational-training, pre-season, prestart, pre-final. The introduction of the author's technique to practice of training of biathletes of child specialized sports school of Olympic reserve of the Tyumen region was proved to promote authentically positive results in the increase of effectiveness of their shooting.
